Sri Lanka and Australia are in their final format of the all-format series. It is the Australia Tour of Sri Lanka. The Australian team won the T20I games played earlier this month after winning two out of three games. Sri Lanka also proved their worth by winning three ODI’s amongst five that too back to back. 

Sri Lanka vs Australia

Sri Lanka started their test game against Australia on 29th June at Galle International Stadium in Galle. The first day ended with Sri Lanka being all out and scoring 212 runs, Australia is playing with a couple of wickets down. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first, and played 59 overs on day one of the tests.

Dimuth Karunaratne

Pathum Nissanka and Dimuth Karunaratne opened for Sri Lanka and maintained a twelve-over partnership. Nissanka scored 23 runs, and Karunaratne made 28 runs. Angelo Matthews achieved 39 runs, and Niroshan Dickwella scored 58 runs for Sri Lanka. Ramesh Mendis took two wickets on day one, whereas Niroshan Dickwella got one, and more bowling will be continued on day two.

David Warner

Australia started their innings with Usman Khawaja scoring 47 runs not-out, and David Warner made 25 runs. Marnus Labuschagne scored 13 runs, whereas Steven Smith and Travis Head scored 6 runs. Nathan Lyon bagged five wickets, and Mitchell Swepson got three wickets. The Australian team is still in the game, with Usman and Travis continuing their batting.
