SL vs AUS: Sri Lanka played their third One Day International against Australia on 19th June Sunday. The match was played at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. It is a tough series between both the countries as the last two games were won by each of the teams. The country finished their three T20I games where Australia took the lead by winning the first two games.

Pathum Nissanka

In the ODI the game might change due to a good performance upgrade by the Sri Lankan players. They won the second match and Sri Lanka defeated Australia in the third ODI in yesterday’s game. It was a fantastic performance by the bowlers where they restricted the Australian batsmen to hit heavy runs.

Australia won the toss and decided to bat, giving the second inning to Sri Lanka. Captain Aaron Finch scored sixty-two runs, Alex Carey scored forty-nine runs, and Travis Head scored seventy runs playing till the end of the innings. Aussies suffered from their bowling, where Glenn Maxwell and Josh Hazlewood took one wicket, and Jhye Richardson bagged two wickets.

Australia gave Sri Lanka a target of 291 runs for fifty overs.

Pathum Nissanka

Pathum Nissanka was the star player for Sri Lanka as he single-handedly scored 137 runs. Kusal Mendia also smashed eighty-seven runs while Niroshan Dickwella and Dhananjaya de Silva made twenty-five runs each. Jefferey Vandersay took three wickets, while Dusmantha Chameera, Dunith Wellalage, and Dhananjaya de Silva took a wicket each. Sri Lanka won the match by six wickets and nine balls left.
