Singapore Open 2022 began on 12th July when its first round was played. PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, HS Prannoy, and Kidambi Srikanth are the top players representing India. HS Prannoy defeated Sitthikom Thammasin to enter the second round, whereas PV Sindhu beat Liamme Tan. Saina Nehwal also won the first round against Malvika Bansod.
The trio also emerged victorious in their second round. PV Sindhu faced Vietnamese Thuy Linh Nguyen in their second round. Both played their first set, where Nguyen took the lead. The Indian had to suffer from a loss in the initial game by 19-21. In the second set, the Indian shuttler made sure she won and made the score the opposite, winning by 21-19. The last set was a game changer as both players were cut to cut to each other. PV Sindhu won the game after winning the set by 21-18.

HS Prannoy also went and booked his spot in the quarter-finals. He played against Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei. Prannoy played the first game on the back-foot as Chen took a big lead, winning by 14-21. Indian shuttler changed his performance in the second set, he took a two-point lead and won by 22-20. Third also ended with 21-18, India winning the second round.

Saina Nehwal played the last amongst the three against He Bing Jiao. She also followed through to the quarter-finals. She established dominance in the first set and won by 21-19. Nehwal failed to remain aggressive in the second set and lost by 11-21. The Indian shuttler made a comeback in the final game and took the lead, winning by 21-17.

Singapore Open 2022: PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, and Nehwal Enters the Quarter-Finals
PV Sindhu will go against Han Yue, whereas Saina Nehwal will play Aya Ohori and HS Prannoy with Kodai Naraoka.
