Nikhat Zareen, Sharath Kamal to be Indian Flagbearers in CWG 2022 Closing Ceremony

It is the final day of the Commonwealth Games 2022, and India performed exceptionally well. On the final day, PV Sindhu gave India gold by winning in the Women’s Singles. Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen also won gold in Men’s Singles. Sharath Kamal and the Indian Men’s hockey team are hoping to bring gold.

Today on 8th August, the Closing Ceremony will be held. In the Opening Ceremony, PV Sindhu and men’s Hockey captain Manpreet Singh were the flag bearers. It is reportedly said that World Boxing Champion and CWG 2022 gold medallist, Nikhat Zareen will be the Indian flag bearer in the Closing Ceremony. Table Tennis champion Sharath Kamal will be the deputy of Zareen and host along with her.

Zareen won a gold medal in the 50 kg flyweight event. Sharath was amongst the winning team that got gold in table tennis. 40-year-old Sharath is hoping to bring gold in his finals today. Chef De Mission Rajesh Bhandari, told PTI, “Nikhat Zareen and Sharath Kamal will be India’s flag bearers in the closing ceremony.”
