Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra who recently won the gold medal in Kuortane Games will now head next to Diamond League in Stockholm, Sweden. Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra brought home a gold medal from Tokyo Olympics and recently broke his record at Paavo Nurmi Games. He became the World Champion after winning the gold in the Olympics last year.

If he manages to win the upcoming World Championship in Eugene, he will become the first male to hold both titles since the last decade. Previously Norway’s Andreas Thorkildsen was the man who got both the titles back in 2009. If Neeraj follows in the footsteps of Andreas, it will be the pinnacle of his career.

Diamond League Glory is a one-day event introduced in 2010 to promote athletics all over the world. Neeraj will participate in the league, where the athlete with the most points will receive the Diamond Trophy in Zurich with $40,000. Men’s javelin will be in four venues across twelve in which Chopra will participate.
He is also heading toward the Commonwealth Games 2022 scheduled to begin on 28th July on Thursday. Where he will represent India along with 30 plus athletes in the athletics segment. Winning all these will make it the most successful year of his career.
