MS Dhoni in Trouble as Supreme Court Issues Notice to Former Captain: Former captain of the Indian Cricket Team Mahendra Singh Dhoni has received a notice from the Supreme Court of India on the Amrapali Group and his plea. MS Dhoni is to stay in arbitration proceedings formed by the Delhi High Court in the case. The former skipper seeks to hold his 42 crores.
Supreme Court bench members Justice UU Lalit and Bela M Trivedi sought to secure the buyers interest of the Amrapali Home. The management of the Amrapali group cannot be expected to represent the cause of the Amrapali settlement or dispute. The Supreme Court suggested if in circumstances that the Amrapali group settles and gets a satisfactory statement from the buyers the case will be secured.

Two cases have issued with two claimants. The SC bench stated, “We issue notices to two claimants of two arbitrations cases.” The first case is ST Constructions against Amrapali Princely Estate Private Ltd, and the second is Dhoni against Amrapali Homes Projects Private Ltd. Justice BS Chauhan is appointed as the arbitrator in the first case and Justice Veena Birbal in the second.
Amrapali buyers stated that over 42 crore INR is to be recovered from MS Dhoni. The amount was paid to him as an endorsement fee. The money was directed from the buyers and given to Dhoni. In 2019, Dhoni transferred his case to the apex court to seek the protection of the property he bought from Amrapali Groups.

Lawyer M.L. Lahoty, an associate with the case, mentioned that Dhoni was given a large amount of money by the real estate firm to be its brand ambassador. Presently the former group directors of Amrapali, Anil Kumar Sharma, Shiv Priya, and Ajay Kumar are in prison for breaching the trust of homebuyers and ousting properties by tampering with land leases.
