Indian Badminton Star PV Sindhu, who won two Olympic medals, is representing the country in Malaysia Super Series 750. She failed to qualify for the first round of the Indonesia Open earlier this month. Malaysia Open 2022 is currently going on at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur. HS Prannoy qualified for the second round along with Purupalli Kashyap, who defeated Heo Kwang-hee

PV Sindhu played her first round against Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong. It was a good game by Sindhu after she got a head start. In the first set, Sindhu played an aggressive match keeping Pornpawee at her back foot. The round ended in 21-13, and PV Sindhu won the first round.

In the second set, Pornpawee played well and improved the game a bit in the next round. PV Sindhu played a similar game and won the second set by 21-17. She won the game with swift moves and threw the Indonesian out of the tournament. Both the players played a fifty-two-minute match before winning the first round.

Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal lost her first round to Iris Wang of America and failed to qualify for the second round. She didn’t register her first foot and lost the first set by 11-21. She showed some improvement in the second set but still lost the game by 17-21. The game ended in thirty-seven minutes.
