Keiron Pollard has always been the backbone and hard-hitting player for Mumbai Indians. His presence in a match was always a good thing for Mumbai. The winning probability of Indians grew higher when Pollard was in the playing 11. But yesterday, he was absent in the announced playing 11, shocking the MI fans

Mumbai vs Chennai has been the favorite match amongst the IPL fans, as their rivalry has been going on for more than a decade. A major setback was given to the fans as Kieron Pollard was dropped off from yesterday’s playing 11. Though Pollard had won many matches for Mumbai, his performance suffered quite a bit. His average strike rate was 4.40 and strike rate of 107.46 runs. Fans were disappointed that Mumbai chose a poor time to let go, as it wasPollard’s 35th birthday yesterday.

The West Indian player recently announced his retirement from all sorts of International cricket. The 35-year-old player was replaced by a Young South African Batsman, Tristian Stubbs. Stubbs is a right-handed wicket-keeper and batsman who rose to fame in South African domestic T20. Mumbai Indian captain Rohit Sharma stated, “ A couple of changes. We are keeping an eye on the future as well. We’ve left out Polly…”  Mumbai is probably thinking about future IPLs and is replacing old players with young ones. It might also be the last season for Keiron Pollard with Mumbai Indians.
