INDW vs ENGW: Harmanpreet Kaur Leads India’s First Series Win in England after 23 Years

India Women led by Harmanpreet Kaur and England Women led by Amy Jones are playing a three-match series of ODI on the England tour. The two countries played two format series, three-game T20I, and three games of ODI. The T20I series is done, and the teams are currently in between ODI games. England won the T20I series with two wins, and India won one.

Harmanpreet Kaur led the team to two victories in the three-match ODI series. The team has created history by getting a victorious series against England on their home base. India Women last won the ODI series against England in 1999. History was created with the ton Harmanpreet Kaur smashed in the second match. 

Indian gave them an unbeatable target of 333 runs in 50 overs. Smriti Mandhana made 40 runs, and Harleen Deol scored a half-century with 58 runs. Harmanpreet entered the pitch and smashed unbeaten 143 runs. She shot eighteen boundaries and four sixes. Renuka Singh bagged four wickets. Dayalan Hemalatha took two wickets. 

The bowlers performed exceptionally well, which took off the pressure. They changed the game in the last three overs of their batting, where the captain gained 63 runs for India. The Women in blue won the second game by 88 runs. A final ODI remains, but the victory has already landed in favor of  India.
