India Women vs Sri Lanka Women: 1st ODI Highlights, India Won By 4 Wickets

India and Sri Lanka played their first ODI on 1st July at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. Previous to this format, the Indian women’s team played a three-game T20I series against the Sri Lankan team. The women in blue won the series after winning the first two games consecutively. Now they are preparing for another three ODI.

India won the first ODI against Sri Lanka by four wickets. Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first. Hasini Perera scored 37 runs, whereas Harshita Madavi made 28, and Nilakshi de Silva scored 43 runs. Anushka Sanjeewani and Inoka Ranaweera made 18 and 12 runs. Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh bagged three wickets. Pooja Vastrakar took two wickets, whereas Harmanpreet Kaur and Rajeshwari Gayawad took a wicket each for India. Sri Lanka scored 171 runs in forty-nine overs.

Shafali Verma scored 35 runs, captain Harmanpreet Kaur made 44 runs. Harleen Deol scored 34 runs, whereas Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar made 22 and 21 runs. Inoka Ranaweera took four wickets, and Oshadi Ranasinghe bagged two wickets. India surpassed the target of 171 runs and won by four wickets.
