India is set to play a five-game T20 International series against South Africa. It will be quite a while since India has hosted a country for a tour. It will be all home matches for the Indian team, and South Africa started their practice session in the capital city New Delhi. Both the teams have begun their training session at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Indian squad joined in late after taking a rest from recently ending two-month long IPL 2022.

KL Rahul will be leading the National team against South Africa, as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are on rest for the upcoming test series against England. It will be a redeeming opportunity for Rahul after failing to lead against SA in their previous tour. The Indian Head Coach Rahul Dravid is also present to guide the team on the five-match journey. Young players like Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan, and Harshal Patel will be the face of this series.

The BCCI uploaded a video on their Twitter handle, where Rahul Dravid is seen giving the Indian team an intense pep talk. There was no verbal audio and just background music in the video. It seemed rather motivating looking at the players, and all of them were pumped up for practice. India is aiming to perfect their bowling side of the team with several fast pacers included in the playing 11.Â
The first game will be played in Delhi on 9th June, while the rest in Cuttack, Vizag, Rajkot, and Bengaluru.
