India vs England Extra Pace Helped Indian Bowler to Take England Batters-Mohammed Siraj

India will play the fourth day of their final fifth test match in Edgbaston on 4th July. The Indian team is currently in the lead after making 416 runs in the first innings, thanks to an incredible performance by Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 146 and 104 runs. In the first innings, India got a 132 runs lead.

The credit doesn’t go to all batsmen, the Indian bowlers kept the English men away from the target. Mohammed Siraj took four wickets, whereas Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets. Bowling has been the key for the runs, and Joe Root took a crucial wicket for his team, Rishabh Pant.

“When we saw the New Zealand series, we realized that our every bowler is 140–plus, and they (NZ Bowlers) didn’t have that. We had that ability and also, we also played against England last year. So that was our plus point, as we were aware of their weak points and that is why we got the success,” Mohammed Siraj.

Siraj has a total of 18 wickets in the series, 14 of which he took in the earlier four games back in 2021. Siraj further added, “We dominated for the first three days, The partnership of Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja was brilliant and placed us in a strong position in this test match. It was a memorable series in Australia. This will also be memorable.” India will resume their second innings on fourth day continuing from 123 runs with Cheteshwar Pujara at 50 and Rishabh Pant at 30 runs.
