IND vs WI 3rd T20I Highlights: India Won by 7 Wickets, India Leads the Series by 2-1: India and West Indies played their 3rd T20I match yesterday on 2nd August. The game was at Warner Park in St. Kitts and Nevis. Both the countries had ended the series in a tie with their previous two games. India won the first, whereas West Indies won the second, both equalling 1-1.

Both the teams played back-to-back matches without any break. The third T20I was scheduled the day after the second game. The Cricket West Indies decided to delay the game for players to get accurate rest before the match. The West Indies team features a couple of players that also played in the ODI series.

India won the toss and decided to bowl in the first innings. Brandon King and Kyle Mayers opened for West Indies. King scored 20 runs, and Mayers smashed 73 runs with eight boundaries and four 6s. Captain Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell made 22 and 23 runs. Shimron Hetmyer got 20 runs to his name. West Indies gave India a target of 164 runs.

Dominic Drakes, Akeal Hosein, and Jason Holder took a wicket each in the game.

Rohit Sharma opened along with Suryakumar Yadav. Sharma didn’t last long and scored 11 runs, he suffered from an injury mid-batting and retired from the match. Suryakumar scored 76 runs with eight boundaries and four 6s. Shreyas Iyer made 24 runs, and Rishabh Pant scored 33 runs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets, whereas Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, and Suryakumar Yadav took a wicket each.

India defeated West Indies by 7 wickets after successfully chasing down the target. India took the lead by 2-1 in the third T20I.
