The South African team landed in New Delhi ahead of their India tour for five T20I games. The Indian team will soon join them on 5th June, after a well-taken rest from two months-long IPL 2022. Both the squads may also have a practice session when in the country’s capital city. The games will begin on 9th June at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Mark Boucher will be the head coach of the Australian team.

The team landed on 2nd June, cleared all their tests, and came negative for Covid. “All the squad members have tested negative, but for the IPL players who were in action till last week, they would be given a few days break ahead of the series as part of workload management.” stated a South Africa team management member. All the players will be practicing at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, and the first game will also happen there.

South African players like Aiden Markram and Marco Jansen, who participated in the Indian Premier League, will have extra rest time. Quinton de Kock will be playing as the opener and will be playing. SA team is targeting Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj for a better bowling strategy. BCCI has also announced no seating restrictions, and bio bubbles will be placed at all the venues.
