Rohit Sharma might leave his captaincy till he recovers from the virus. According to reports, Jasprit Bumrah might be the captain in the India vs England test match. It will be a historical moment as a bowler will lead the test team of India. The last time a bowler led the team was in 1987, and now after more than thirty-five years, again a bowler will lead team India.

Bumrah will take the captain’s position after the usual vice-captain KL Rahul won’t be attending the game due to his injury. Indian head coach Rahul Dravid recently listed the names of captains he had to work with, and Bumrah will be another addition to his list. Rohit Sharma still might be the captain if he returns after his said period of quarantine. His five days of mandatory isolation finish just before the game begins.

He added, “I don’t like to chase things because I don’t want to. I am a person who believes that God has a plan and everything will find its own way, so I don’t like to hamper the plan that is there. I try to never change anything. Whatever role is asked of me I would do it with the best ability that I can. I don’t want to change the whole organization, you are always a leader when you are a senior member of the team, so it’s just a post that comes with you. Basically, you try to help all the people in whatever capacity you can.”
