“Historic Win In Birmingham” PM Modi Congratulates India’s CWG Gold in Lawn Bowl: India is having a great session at the Commonwealth Games 2022. Weightlifters have bagged the most medals for India, including three gold. India has won five gold medals in the CWG and is ranked as the sixth most gold-winning nation. The Indian Table Tennis team won the fourth gold medal.
The Indian Women’s Fours team created history after winning the Country’s first-ever gold medal at Lawn Bowling. History was written on Tuesday, day 5 of the Commonwealth Games. India defeated South Africa by 17-10 in the finale of the women’s fours. The Indian team comprised Lovely Choubey, Rupa Rani Tirkey, Nayanmoni Saikia, and Pinki Singh.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates the Indian Women’s team for the historic victory. He took his appreciation on Twitter and wrote, “Historic win in Birmingham! India is proud of Lovely Choubey, Pinki Singh, Nayanmoni Saika, and Rupa Rani Tirkey for bringing home the prestigious Gold in Lawn Bowls.
