Sania Mirza advanced to the third round with her partner Lucie Hradecka after winning the second round on 28th May in the French Open 2022. Sania is currently playing Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles, representing India in Paris. It will be her last year of playing tennis after, she announced her retirement earlier this year. She is also retired from Singles and hasn’t played in any Grand Slams. Mirza has won six Grand Slam titles in her decade of playing in the tournament.

The Indian tennis star Sania Mirza heads to the third round in Women’s Doubles with Lucie Hradecka from Czechia. The Indo-Czech played the second round against Kaja Juvan and Tamara Zidansek from Slovenia. It was a crucial victory for us as both Indian men’s and women’s teams excelled further into the tournament. They played the first set of the game and barely had to go through any hassle to secure a win. Sania and Lucie defeated the Slovanian pair 6-3. Though Kaja and Tamara stepped up their game, it was not enough to defeat them and make a way to the third set. The Indian and Czech won the second set by 6-4 and entered the third round.
Mirza-Hradecka will face Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff from the United States of America. The third round will be on 31st May, and it will decide who will go to the pre-quarterfinals.
