French Open 2022: Sania Mirza- Lucie Hradecka Heads to Second Round in Women’s Doubles

Sania Mirza played her first Women’s Double in French Open 2022. She played with Lucie Hradecka from the Czech and won the first game. The game was yesterday 26th May at 6:30 pm IST. Sania Mirza has won six Grand Slams in her decade of playing singles. She retired from all single games but continues to play doubles and mixed doubles. Mirza has previously played in the French Open and has won the winning title at the same clay court she played yesterday. Both her and Lucie are previous champions of the French Open.

Sania Played her second consecutive game after playing and winning the Mixed Doubles on 25th May. The Indo-Czech pair played their first Women’s Doubles against Jasmine Paolini and Martina Trevisan, both from Italy. Sania and Lucie played their first set with the Italian duo and lost. It was a hard loss for us, and we lost by 4-6. The pair made a comeback and defeated the Italians by 6-2. It was all up to the third set, and probability shifted to both ends. India and the Czech effortlessly managed to beat with efficient and effective teamwork by 6-1.

The Indian players at the French Open won their first matches with flying colors. Bopanna also played his second Men’s Doubles and won, entering the third game of the tournament and one step closer to the finals.
