Commonwealth Games 2022: Olympian Sajan Prakash, Srihari Nataraj included in Indian Swimming Team

Commonwealth Games 2022 is nearing, and India has prepared their best squad to compete in each sports event. Presently India has announced their hockey squad, athletic squad, and now the swimming team. Apart from the Indian cricket team, most other sports have a special crew representing India. The games will start in Birmingham from 28th July to 8th August.

The Indian swimmers will compete in the four available criteria after qualifying. CWG swimming competition will be held from 29th July to 3rd August. Four swimmers are selected to represent India in the Birmingham games 2022. Sajan Prakash was the first to qualify for the contests and competed in the Tokyo Olympics last year.

Srihari Nataraj will be participating in men’s 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter, and 200-meter backstroke events. Kushagra Rawat and Advait Page also qualified for men’s freestyle categories. It will be a good squad to register their first-ever win in the swimming games. “In the qualification period of one year Srihari, Sajan, Advait, and Kushagra have clocked the sixth position time from the previous Commonwealth Games,” Swimming Federation of India head Monal Chokshi told PTI.
