Assistant Coach of U-17 Women’s Football Team Abolished Over “Sexual Misconduct”

The Indian Under 17 Women’s Football’s assistant coach, Alex Ambrose was accused of sexual misconduct on Sunday. The U-17 Women’s team was in Europe when such horrible events happened. Reports suggested that Ambrose misconducted with a player during their training session, which was witnessed by the head coach.

The All India Football Federation or AIFF has been under the authority of the Committee of Administration since May 18. The news of Sexual Misconduct was announced by Dr. SY Quraishi on Twitter, “Alex Ambrose, Asstt Head Coach of Under 17 Women’s team has been sacked for sexual misconduct. Further actions under process.”

Alex Ambrose, was suspended by the AIFF on Thursday and noted the individual to cut off all contact with the team and return to India to be physically present for investigations. The AIFF issued a statement, “An event of misconduct has been reported in the U17 women’s team currently on an exposure tour to Europe. The AIFF follows a zero-tolerance policy on indiscipline.”

The women’s team participated in the 6th Torneo Female Football Tournament from 22nd to 26th June in Italy. They had to face defeat against Italy and Chile in the games by 0-7 and 1-3.
