IPL 2021, SRH vs RR, SunRisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals Preview: RR Look Stay In Playoff Race, Face SRH

SRH

On Monday, the Rajasthan Royals and SunRisers Hyderabad will face off in the IPL 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium. Rajasthan Royals were comprehensively overwhelmed by Delhi Capitals in their second encounter after pulling off a heist in their first match of the UAE leg. RR is still in the hunt for a playoff spot with eight points from nine games, but their opponents on Monday, SRH, will need a miracle to make the top four.

SRH has only won one match in nine games this season, and they are now in last place in the league with only two points. They still have a mathematical chance of qualifying for the playoffs, but they’ll need some luck and to win the rest of their games.

SunRisers Hyderabad have struggled in the IPL 2021, and a captaincy change hasn’t helped. In the two games so far in the UAE, the batting has been dreadful. David Warner has appeared to be a shell of his former self, and he may be replaced by Jason Roy.

Kane Williamson has also failed to deliver, and SRH sorely need him to return to form. Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav, for example, have struggled, while Abdul Samad has fallen short of expectations.

In the previous game against DC, Jason Holder was in excellent form with both the bat and the ball, and SRH will be hoping for more of the same in the future.

RR, on the other side, made a remarkable comeback against Punjab Kings owing to some brilliant death bowling from Kartik Tyagi, but DC proved too strong for Sanju Samson’s team, which has been severely hampered by absences.

RR’s batsmen struggled against Delhi Capitals, with just captain Samson contributing meaningfully. If RR is to have any chance of making the playoffs, others must rally behind him and put their hands up.
