According to reports, Samsung is working on the Galaxy A13 5G, which will be the company’s cheapest 5G smartphone. The phone will successor the Galaxy A12, which was released in November of last year and was a 4G device. The phone is estimated to cost less than EUR 200 (approximately Rs. 17,300), making it the company’s lowest 5G product. Access to 5G is becoming more widely available as manufacturers such as Realme, Xiaomi, and even Samsung work on lower-cost devices with the most up-to-date mobile network connectivity possibilities.
Samsung is reportedly working on a Galaxy A series phone that will be the company’s cheapest 5G offering, according to a claim from Galaxy Club. The model number for this phone, codenamed Galaxy A13, is claimed to be AM-A136B, and it will enable 5G. According to the rumour, the Galaxy A13 5G would be priced under EUR 200 (roughly Rs. 17,300). It’s expected to be revealed this year, and given that the Galaxy A12 was released in November 2020, the Galaxy A13 may follow suit.
It’s worth noting that Samsung hasn’t revealed plans for a new Galaxy A-series phone with 5G connectivity and a low-price tag.
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is currently the company’s cheapest 5G offering in India. In July, the phone was released with a starting price of Rs. 19,999. In other developments, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A52s 5G in India today (September 1), with prices starting at Rs. 35,999 for the 6GB + 128GB storage model. A model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 37,499.
