According to his lawyer, Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee filed a criminal defamation charge against actor Kamaal Rashid Khan alias KRK in an Indore court on Tuesday for allegedly sending a disparaging tweet about him.
Under IPC section 500, Bajpayee filed a criminal complaint against Khan (46) in the court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) (punishment for defamation).
According to Bajpayee’s lawyer, Paresh S Joshi, he requested the court to file a criminal defamation action in the case.
Khan’s tweet, which was sent on July 26, defamed the 52-year-old actor and harmed his image among his admirers, according to Joshi.
According to Bajpayee, he physically appeared before the court to record his statement.
