Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen enters to play finals in the Women’s World Boxing Championship 2022. She qualified in the 52 kg category and led India to the finals. The boxing championships were held in Istanbul, Turkey, and began from 8th May to 20th May. Yesterday the Semi-Finals were played, and Zareen emerged victorious. Manisha Moun qualified for the Semifinals but lost the game and secured a bronze medal.

Nikhat Zareen faced Caroline De Almeida, a Brazilian boxer, in the Semifinals. Zareen boxed like it was nothing for her and won rather easily and thrashed Caroline by 5-0. She will face Thailand’s Jitpong Jutamas in the finals. It will be an incredible match to see us both have earned and played exceptionally to reach on top. The Women’s World Boxing Championship will be between India vs Thailand on 19th May. Nikhat Zareen vs Jitpong Jutamas will be live on Star Sports Network and Sony LIV.

If Nikhat Zareen wins gold, she will be on the step of Mary Kom, Sarita Devi, Jenny RL, and Lekha C. All of them are the Indian boxers to win the Championship, Zareen will be the latest addition to the list.
