Virat Kohli Should Lead India Against England? Here’s What England Star Has To Say: India will play their test match against England from 1st July on Friday. The game will be the fifth test game from last year’s England tour, which was canceled due to Covid-19. It will be the final test followed by a couple of T20Is and ODIs. The Indian team is presently captain less after Rohit Sharma is in quarantine after becoming positive for Covid.

There have been a lot of questions regarding the captaincy positions. Vice-captain KL Rahul is also injured and won’t be playing in the test match. Rohit became the captain after Virat Kohli stepped down from the role earlier this year after the test series in South Africa. According to sources Jasprit Bumrah, fast pace bowler might be the captain of the Indian team. Indian batsman and wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant might also be the captain after he led the home series against South Africa.

English all-rounder Moeen Ali stated that he would give the captaincy position again to Kohli for this game. “It’s a tough one. I was thinking about this last night. Because Virat was captain before the same series last year, I would probably give it to him, yeah, for this one game. But it’s obviously his call. He probably won’t want to do it. He is happy, his mind is relaxed and saying ‘I’m never captaining Test cricket again.’ So that can also be difficult, but yeah, I think it’s a good idea. He has got the experience, and it’s a big series for India.” He stated during a conversation with Sport Today.

“If this series was finished last year, India would have won 3-1, but now, I feel the way England have played I think India might be slightly undercooked, due to the lack of cricket in England. If England come out the way they have played in the last few games, England will be the favorites,” He further added.

Moeen Ali feels that India will likely lose this match as the English team has defeated New Zealand and Ben Stokes to their side.
