Virat Kohli Infected with COVID-19 After Returning from Holiday in the Maldives

Indian skipper and former captain of the team, Virat Kohli is reported to be Covid-19 positive. The Indian side is affected heavily after several covid symptoms and cases have penetrated the country’s department. The team landed in England last week and will practice for their upcoming season.

India and England resume their last year’s test match, which they had to stop due to covid growing amongst the group. This time also the virus is present but not enough to dismiss any games amongst both the countries. The tour will begin on 1st July and the final remaining test game will be played till 5th, followed by three T20Is and three ODIs.

According to sources Virat Kohli got infected during his vacation in the Maldives. The source said, “This means that India’s tour game against Leicestershire on June 24 will not be as concentrated as coach Rahul Dravid had hoped, because medical advice is to avoid overloading the players after they have suffered Covid-19. There could be more Covid cases in the team.”

The beginning test match will be captained by Rohit Sharma and with a penetrating virus, the squad is in danger. Players like Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah. Ravichandran Ashwin is also noted to be Covid positive and missed his flight to England.
