UEFA Champions League 2021 2022 Real Madrid Defeats Liverpool FC and Wins the Championship

Real Madrid played in the finals of the Champions League against Liverpool FC and beat them to win the championships. The finals were played after a while due to the ongoing Premier League, amongst the same set of teams, as the Champions League. UEFA Champions League is annually organized by the Union of European Football Associations or UEFA, and football clubs based in Europe participate in the league. The first match was played on 14th September 2021, and the finals on 29th May 2022. A total of 125 games were played by the football teams.

UEFA Champions League 2021-2022: Real Madrid Defeats Liverpool FC and Wins the Championship

Real Madrid and Liverpool qualified for the finals and played the game on 29th May at 12:30 pm IST. The match was at State de France Stadium in Paris. Real Madrid defeated Manchester City by 3-1 to qualify for the finals and Liverpool defeated Villareal by 3-2. Real Madrid and Liverpool played in the finals, where Madrid emerged victorious. Liverpool took twenty-four shots, whereas Madrid only took four shots. Though Liverpool’s only nine shots were on target, and on the other hand, two attempts were on target for Madrid. Vinicius Jr. from Brazil aimed his shot in the second half in the 59th minute and gave Real Madrid a lead of 1-0.

It was quite a game between both teams as the score was 0-0 till halftime, and each had a good chance of winning. Each group attacked and failed and went back and forth, taking shots at each other. Once Madrid got a lead, they focused their strategy on defending rather than scoring more goals. It was helpful, and they won 1-0. Real Madrid added one more Champions League win to their streak and totaled 14 wins. They have the most number of champions in the League.
