Team India has officially departed for Australia to be in the T20 World Cup 2022. The team left the country early on Thursday morning on the 6th of October. They recently prevailed in the T20I series against South Africa on 4th October. It was the final series before the team will settle in Australia and practice.
Rohit Sharma led India left for Australia today morning. The BCCI have posted the picture of the team at the airport departing for the T20 World Cup. “Picture perfect, let’s do this #TeamIndia. @cricketworldcup here we come.”
Players like Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, also posted pictures on their social media handles.
India will play their opening game against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be absent from the squad, due to his back injury. India will look forward to defeat Pakistan and also to claim the World Cup. Last year India lost in the semi-finals and had to lose.
