Sri Lanka will play their third day of the first test match against Australia. Both have already played one inning each, and Australia has taken the lead. The Sri Lankan team made 212 runs in the first inning, and Australia chased them down. Captain Pat Cummins led Australia to 321 runs till they were all out.
The third day continued with the last couple of overs with the first innings ending at 321 runs. The second innings began with the game and will follow on as there is the rest of the day to conduct the cricket. Sri Lanka started their second innings with Pathum Nissanka scoring 14 runs, and captain Dimuth Karunaratne made 23 runs. Oshada Fernando made 12 runs, whereas Dhananjaya de Silva and Dinesh Chandimal made 11 and 13 runs. Sri Lanka failed to score any significant runs after getting all out, making 113 runs in 22.5 overs.
Australia started their second innings with David Warner and Usman Khawaja opening. Warner scored 10 runs, and Usman Khawaja didn’t play any ball. Mitchell Swepson took two wickets, whereas Nathan Lyon and Travis Head bagged four wickets each. It was a very short test game between the two, and Australia registered their victory.
Sri Lanka accumulated 325 runs in their two innings and Australia made 321 in their first inning and 10 runs in the second. Australia won the test match by ten wickets after they only played four balls in the second innings.
