Sri Lanka and Australia played their last ODI of the series, yesterday on 24th June, at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Both the countries are playing an all-format tour, and have completed their T20I and ODI matches. Sri Lanka and Australia will play two test games next. The upcoming test match will decide the winner of the series.
Australia won the T20I games after winning two games back to back and losing one. Sri Lanka won the five-match ODI series after winning three games back to back. Sri Lanka will begin their first test match with Australia on 29th June and go on till 3rd July. The second game will be from 8th July to 12th July. Sri Lanka won the previous game, by a close margin of four runs.

In yesterday’s game, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first. Chamika Karunaratne smashed seventy-five runs, and Kusal Mendis scored twenty-six runs. Charith Asalanka and Pramod Madushan made fourteen and fifteen runs while others scored single-digit runs. Dunith Wellalage took three wickets, and Maheesh Theekshana bagged two wickets. Sri Lanka gave a target of 160 runs in forty-four overs.

Alex Carey scored forty-five runs, Marnus Labuschagne made thirty-one runs, whereas Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green bagged twenty-four and twenty-five runs. Matthew Kuhnemann took three wickets, whereas Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins got two wickets each. Australia easily defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets and sixty-three balls left.Â
