Two-time Olympic medal winner PV Sindhu played the semifinal match of the Women’s singles at Singapore Open. PV Sindhu is playing well and has risen to the finals of the Open. Other Indian players like Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy exited in their quarterfinal match. Sindhu is the only Indian representing in the Finals.
The Indian Shuttler played against Japan’s Saena Kawakami in the semifinals and prevailed. PV Sindhu took the lead from the start and maintained. Kawakami makes a comeback and equals the score by 11-11. The Indian star quickly increases the difference by 14-12 and adds two more points. Sindhu wins the first set by 21-15 without breaking any sweat.

In the second set, Sindhu took a four-point lead right away. She kept adding points on the scoreboard 11-4. Kawakami had difficulty chasing the scores as the Indian kept adding in the difference. Sindhu has a twelve-point gap between the Japanese at 17-5. The Indian took a couple of shots and won the second set by 21-7.Â

PV Sindhu will play at her first ever Singapore Open finals. The finals will be played on Sunday, 17th July.Â
