The French Open 2022 reached its final destination, and the last game was played yesterday, on 5th June, Sunday. Rafael Nadal of Spain became the French Open 2022 champion after he defeated Casper Rudd in the finals. It was a significant victory for Rafael, as it will be the fourteenth Roland Garros title of his career and the twenty-second Grand Slam. Nadal also became the oldest player to win a Grand Slam at the French Open. He is also titled the “King of Clay” for his excellent performance at the clay court of Roland Garros.

As soon as Rafael won the finals, the internet was loaded with appreciation for his performance. People took their support, love, and gratitude to Social Media. Members of the varied sports fraternity congratulated him for his historic win. Indian Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar praised Nadal for his victory and wrote, “ To go out there and win a record 14th @rollandgarros & 22nd Grand Slam at the age of 36 is an incredible achievement. Congratulations @RafaelNadal!”
Spanish footballer David de Gea, wished Nadal by tweeting, “I love you, @Rafael Nadal, #14 #RolandGarros.”
South African cricketer AB de Villiers also congratulated by saying, “ Casper Ruud-Already a true champion. He’ll be back! And Rafa, well Rafa is Rafa. Always down to earth, no matter what the outcome. Huge inspiration for the sporting world! I hope all youngsters were watching, especially the pre & post match respect between the opponents & to the sport.”
