It is reported that Jasprit Bumrah is going to miss out on the upcoming T20 World Cup. India is presently in an ongoing series against South Africa. India is presently lacking in their bowling department and will suffer one more hit with Bumrah.

India suffered in the Asia Cup and eventually lost. They failed to qualify for the finals and exited before the semifinals. India’s batting excelled but their bowling, especially death overs, leaked plenty of runs. The absence of Jasprit Bumrah put India under pressure. His return marked a win against Australia.

“Bumrah is not going to play the World T20 for sure. He has a serious back condition. It’s a stress fracture and he could be out for a period of six months,” a senior BCCI official stated to PTI.

The BCCI hasn’t officially released a statement over Jasprit Bumrah’s situation. BCCI did mention the back pain before the first game against South Africa. “Jasprit Bumrah complained of back pain during India’s practice session on Tuesday. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him. He is ruled out of the first #INDvsSA T20I.” BCCI tweeted.

If India’s star pacer remains absent during the upcoming World Cup, it will create a terrible situation. India is already lacking with their bowling and losing a reputed bowler will be a bad blow.
