Pro Kabaddi 2022: Auction Date, Rules, Base Price, PKL 2022: The Pro Kabaddi League has officially been announced after an exciting last season. The auction dates have been declared by the Pro Kabaddi League officials. The auction for PKL 2022 will be held for two days 5th and 6th of August, in Mumbai. A total of 500+ players will be part of Auctions with several retained players.
It will be the 9th Season of PKL since its inaugural in 2014. According to the rules, the teams are permitted to retain six players for their team. The players are categorized into four levels, with each having a different base price. Category A- INR 30 Lakhs, Category B- INR 20 Lakhs, Category C- INR 10 Lakhs, and Category D- INR 6 Lakhs.

In 2017 the franchise was expanded by four new teams. The last season was played after a break due to the pandemic. Eights season saw a new record for highest bid player, UP Yodha bought Pardeep Narwal at a massive 1.65 crore. Dabang Delhi won the previous season beating Patna Pirates.

A total of 12 franchise teams are represented in the Pro Kabaddi League. Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi KC, Gujarat FortuneGiants, Haryana Steelers, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, Tamil Thalaivaa, Telugu Titans, U Mumba, and UP Yoddha.
