Pakistan has recently jumped up in the rankings of One Day International set by the International Cricket Council. The rankings were released by ICC on Monday as the Pakistani team won their matches against West Indies.

Pakistani team defeated West Indies in the three-match One Day International series played in Pakistan. This win boosted their rankings and placed them in a higher spot. Pakistan currently ranks third in the win and loss ratio, behind New Zealand and Scotland. They have 106 rating points after winning against West Indies in February.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam is leading the team quite fabulously by winning most of their matches. They also won the 6 Nations T20 championships with quite a margin, defeating India. India is now behind Pakistan in ODI wins rankings. The men in green also won a three-game ODI against Australia at home by 2-1.

ICC stated, “Pakistan have left India behind in the @MRFWorldwide ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings.”
It is the second time Pakistan has achieved something incredible like this. The first time was in 2016 when they topped India on the list. Babar Azam became the first batter to score three consecutive One Day International runs.
