Former Indian Head Coach, Ravi Shastri talked about the absence of Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The BCCI announced that Jasprit Bumrah won’t be present in the Indian squad. He suffered from a back injury after the Australia series and was rested. There hasn’t been an official replacement announced on behalf of Bumrah.
“It’s unfortunate. There’s so much cricket being played, and people get injured. He is injured, but it’s an opportunity for somebody else. There is nothing you can do with injury,” ESPNcricinfo quoted Ravi Shastri.

Ravi Shastri talked about how the team can suffer and how unpredictable tournaments can go in the semi-finals. He mentioned that India has enough bowlers to be stable in the tournament, but Jadeja’s absence can cause some lackings. India only has Hardik Pandya as an all-rounder, and if his position is compromised, it could lose us a game.
“I think we have got enough strength and we have a good team. I have always believed if you make it to the semi-finals, it could be anyone’s tournament. The endeavor would be to start well, get to the semis, and then have got enough strength to probably win the Cup, for all you know. Bumrah not being there, Jadeja not being there, it harpers the side- but it’s an opportunity to unearth a new champion,”
He talked about Shami, “Precisely, his experience. India have been there a lot in the last six years, and he has been an integral part of all those tours. So that experience counts.”
