The 65th match of Tata IPl 2022 was played between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The game was played yesterday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. SRH won the game by three runs and took a step closer to the playoff. Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl, giving the first over batting to Hyderabad. Rahul Tripathi was the highest scorer of the match, making seventy-six runs in just forty-four balls, and Priyam Garg made forty-two runs. Umran Malik, presently the fastest bowler in IPL 2022, grabbed three wickets, and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar took two wickets. SRH ended up making 193 runs at the end of the first inning.

Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan opened for Mumbai with a partnership of forty-eight runs and forty-three runs. Tim David scored forty-six runs in just eighteen runs. Ramandeep Singh bagged three wickets for Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians failed to achieve their target by just three runs and lost the game.
Rahul Tripathi from Sunrisers Hyderabad was named Man of the Match. He scored an incredible 74 runs off just 44 balls. Tripathi said, “ I’ve enjoyed batting at three. It’s important that if the openers have given a good start, then continue that. Or whatever the situation demands I’m trying to learn from that. Bumrah’s a great bowler. Was just looking to react to whatever he’s bowling. Depends on how to react to the wicket is playing and how I can counterattack at that point. If it’s there and I can take it on, I will definitely go for the shot. If it’s not there then I’ll just look to take those single-doubles. To win games is more important, happy I could do that today. Sometimes when a bowler is bowling well, how to score those runs. In T20 there cannot be a moment where you can slow down. Every ball is an event so I just think about what could be the best result. When you play it’s obviously your dream to represent your country.”
Kane Williamson, the winning captain in a post-match interview said, “I’ve enjoyed batting at three. It’s important that if the openers have given a good start, then continue that.
