Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf talked about his experience at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Rauf compared the iconic venue to his home ground. He mentioned the experience of playing at the Big Bash League held in Australia. The majority of the matches are played at the MCG. Haris plays for Melbourne Stars in the BBL.

“If I give my best they won’t be able to play me easily. For the upcoming World Cup match, I’m very happy because it is at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.” He stated in a post-match interview.

He mentioned his familiarity playing in a BBL franchise team and at the MCG, comparing it to his home ground. “It is my home ground because I play for the Melbourne Stars, and I have an idea of how the conditions play out there. I’ve already started planning on how I would bowl against India,”

India and Pakistan will face each other in their first game of the World Cup on 23rd October at MCG. Both countries never have a bilateral series and often play at a major tournament. Rauf warned India about the experience he gained with bowling on the MCG pitch.

“The match between India and Pakistan is always a high-pressure game. In the World Cup last year, I was feeling so much pressure. But in the past two matches in the Asia Cup, I didn’t feel much of it because I knew I just had to give my best,”
