Portugal’s champion and former Juventus player Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly leaving his current team, Manchester United. In recent days several stories are flying about Ronaldo wanting to exit the red-devils after just a year of playing for them. Ronaldo had a bad spell in winning the silver trophies, in the Premier League and the Champions League. He wants to play in the next Champions League and hence wants out of Manchester United.

Lionel Messi from PSG has also allegedly warned their supervisor that if Ronaldo joins them, he will quit. Recently all of this confusion was cleared out when Manchester United’s manager Erik ten Hag answered some questions regarding the Ronaldo issue. He is presently practicing in his home country after getting an additional time off due to “family issues.”

“We are planning with Ronaldo for this season, that’s it. I’m looking forward to working with him. Ronaldo will not be part of United’s pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to ‘personal issues.’” ten Hag told Sky Sports on Monday. He was asked if Cristiano wants to leave to which Hag replied, “He hasn’t told me this. I have read, but as I say, Cristiano is not for sale, he’s in our plans, and we want to get success together. I spoke with him before this issue came up. I had a conversation with him and had a really good talk.”

Manchester United will play a friendly match against Liverpool for pre-season on 12th July on Tuesday. The team will play with Aston Villa in Perth on 23rd July and Atletico Madrid on 30th July.
