India is having a great first round at the Malaysia Masters 2022 as all the players except Saina Nehwal have successfully qualified for the first round. PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy qualified for their second round after having an excellent show in the first round. Sindhu defeated the Chinese player He Bing Jiao.
Sai Praneeth and Parupalli Kashyap played their first-round match yesterday on 5th July. Both the players had quite the opposite experience in gaining their victory in the first round. Praneeth went against Kevin Cordon from Guatemala and Kashyap against Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia. It was a contrasting game where it took less than half-hour for Pranneth to win and Kashyap played three sets.

Sai Praneeth had an easy win in the second round and finished the game in 27 minutes. In the first set, the Indian didn’t give Cordon a chance to register his point and ended the set 21-8. The second set was no different, where he took the chance to lead and didn’t let the Guatemalan near his points, winning the round by 21-8 and 21-9.

Malaysia Masters: Sai Praneeth and Parupalli Kashyap Head to the Second Round
Parupalli Kashyap had to struggle for his victory against the Indonesian player. In the first set, Kashyap had a problem securing points and wasn’t in his best form. The game ended with the Indian losing by 16-21. The second set however saw a change in performance where Parupalli took the lead in scores and won by 21-16. The third set had the same outcome and the Indian player won the round with 16-21, 21-16, and 21-16.
