Two times Olympic medal winner PV Sindhu is having a great time in the Malaysia Masters. She had a bad start at the Indonesia Open last month, where she exited in the first round itself. She won the first round with flying colors in her first round of the Masters in Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.
PV Sindhu played her second round against China’s Zhang Yi Man today on 7th July Thursday. She won the game entering the quarter-finals of the Masters series. PV Sindhu is the World No.7 played and won against the World No. 32 in the women’s singles second round. In the first set, the Indian took the lead in points.

The first set ended in 21-12, and Sindhu won the first game. The World No.7 performed even better after she barely let the Chinese gain front-foot in the game. Both the sets were over in 28 minutes, where in the final match India won by 21-12 and 21-10.

Malaysia Masters: PV Sindhu Leads into Quarter-Finals
The journey for PV Sindhu was easy until now, but the next match will be against Chinese Taipei Tai Tzu Ying. Ying is the nemesis of Sindhu after she defeated her in the Malaysia Open quarter-finals by 5-16. The Chinese currently rank as World No.2 and will give a tough match to PV Sindhu. Sai Praneet exited the tournament, losing to Li She Feng of China by 14-21 and 17-21.
