Malaysia Masters 2022 HS Prannoy Advances to Semifinals, Beats Tsuneyama

HS Prannoy played the quarterfinals of the Malaysia Masters 2022 and won, heading towards the semifinals. Since the past couple of Opens and Masters series, Prannoy has been playing well and has successfully qualified for the top. Though he hasn’t reached the finals in any of those tournaments and has won.

If he successfully wins his semifinals, he will give plenty of hope for India and win the Masters title. Prannoy is a former top-ten ranking player, and he played against the World No.14 Kanta Tsuneyama of Japan in the quarter-finals. Both the players went back and forth and played a very competitive match.

In the first set, Prannoy got the lead and played an aggressive attacking game against his opponent. The first set ended in the favor of the Indian shuttler by 25-23. The Japanese players also weren’t much behind and gave him a difficult game to finish. In the second set, both players tried to up their game and make sure they won this set.

Tsuneyama gave a good competition against the HS Prannoy, but it wasn’t enough to stop him from achieving the victory. Indian won the quarterfinals, and HS Prannoy defeated Kanta Tsuneyama by 25-23 and 22-20. The Indian shuttler will face Hong Kong’s Angus NG Ka Long  in the semifinals.
