Lucknow Super Giants played against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the eliminator match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 25th May. It was the third last match of Tata IPL 2022, and the winner will move ahead into the second qualifier round. Both the teams played their best to move into further stages and finished up in the finals. RCB defeated LSG by fourteen runs, thanks to Rajat Patidar.Â

Rajat Patidar played his first IPL this year and has already made a name for himself. Patidar is from Madhya Pradesh and plays in the regional tournament. RCB picked him in the auctions at the base price of twenty-lakhs. He wasn’t even in the playing 11 and wasn’t paid attention until picked for a replacement. Luvnith Sisodia was injured and replaced by Patidar in the playing squad. He immediately proved his worth and was kept on the team. In LSG vs RCB, the experienced players failed, but Rajat stepped up and thrashed Lucknow bowlers, making 112 runs in just fifty-four balls. It was an unexpected move and shocked every other player, including RCBs. He kept smashing until the innings ended and hit seven 6 and twelve 4s.

RCB will now face Rajasthan Royals tomorrow, 27th May at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. If they win, they will play in the finals against Gujarat Titans. Rajat Patidar has indeed made his place in playing 11 for second qualifiers and finals.
