Knight Riders is an Indian group that is co-owned by Indian Superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The United Arab Emirates is soon holding its own UAE T20 League, just like the IPL. The leading team holders are Indian groups. The twenty-twenty will be played amongst six teams, and five of them are co-owned by Indian businesses. There will be thirty-four matches played amongst the six teams licensed by Emirates Cricket Board.

Knight Riders are known for their most popular franchise Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. It will be their fourth team overall and first in UAE along with Reliance Strategic Business Ventures, Adani Group, GMR Group, and Capri Global. Riders will be the fifth Indian group to acquire a team in the T20. Shah Rukh Khan owned team will represent Abu Dhabi, known as Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. They also have a team in the Caribbean Premier League known as Trinbago Knight Riders. Major League Cricket (MLC) in the USA has also noticed a massive investment by Knight Riders Group.

Knight Riders officially stated, “ Over the last decade, the Knight Riders Group has become a household name in T20 cricket. After establishing Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008 in the Indian Premier League, the Knight Riders became the owners of the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League in 2015.” Actor Shah Rukh Khan also expressed his delight, “ For several years now, we have been expanding the Knight Riders brand globally and closely watching the potential for T20 cricket in the UAE. We are excited about becoming part of UAE’s T20 League, which no doubt will become hugely successful.”
