India and England played their first ODI match on 12th July at the Oval Stadium in London. It was a historic win for India, and the team also displayed an overall good performance. India won by 10 wickets in just 18 overs. The Indian team’s bowling was impeccable, particularly one bowler.
Jasprit Bumrah deservingly became the player of the match after he single-handedly took six wickets for the Indian team. His bowling led England to have their lowest score ever in the history of ODI. Bumrah and Mohammed Shami teamed up to bowl out every player without giving them a chance to bat and thrived.

ICC recently released a new updated rankings list of the best players in ODI. Undoubtedly Jasprit Bumrah was expectedly on top due to his six-wicket haul. He left behind New Zealand’s Trent Boult to take his place as the top bowler in ODI. Bumrah ended the two-year reign of Boult as the number one bowler in ODI.

Jasprit Bumrah Ranks No.1 in The ICC List of Top ODI Bowlers
In the batters list, Suryakumar Yadav also saw a massive surge in his T20I rankings. Yadav ranks fifth, with the first being Pakistan’s Babar Azam. Bumrah’s performance left everyone in Awe as he got Jason Roy, Joe Root, and Liam Livingstone out without giving them a single run.
