A tennis tournament in Rome, Italy, is going on, and Novak Djokovic climbed up through the Quarter-Finals and will play in the Semi-Finals.
Novak Djokovic is a Serbian Tennis player and is presently the World No.1. Djokovic has won the Grand Slam Men’s Singles Title twenty times, including nine Australian Opens. He is the only man to complete a non-calendar year Grand Slam and the first in the Open Era to win a double career Grand Slam.Â
Novak Djokovic defeated Canadian player Felix Auger-Aliassime in the Quarter-Finals and took his next step toward Semi-Finals. The Canadian gave an exemplary fight to Djokovic and played with the World Champion for the first time. Aliassime gave a passable performance, hitting eleven aces and servers going over 200 km per hour. He gave a powerful performance that blew Djokovic away. In the end, Novak defeated Felix by 7-5 and 7-6. Djokovic said this, “He’s got the lethal serve, honestly one thing is to practice, another thing is to play against someone in official match…It was not easy at all for me to return.” “He is also returning well, he’s moving well, he’s a very complete player. He did ask me to raise the level.” the World Champion said about his opponent Felix.
Djokovic is headed to clash with Casper Ruud for the Finals. If he managed to win the Italian Open title, it would be Novak’s 1000th victory of his career. Alexander Zverev also qualified along with Stefanos Tsitsipas for the Semi-Finals.
