IPL Team Owners Grab All 6 Franchise in South Africa T20 League

IPL Team Owners Grab All 6 Franchise in South Africa T20 League: The new South African T20 League will be inaugurated in January next year. The franchise teams were announced and were gained by various companies. Every single franchise team selected for the T20 League was acquired by the IPL team owners.

The six companies who brought the team are Reliance Industries Limited, RPSG Sports Private Limited, Sun TV Network Limited, Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, Royals Sports Group, and JSW Sports

Reliance owns Mumbai Indians, RPSG has Lucknow Super Giants, Sun TV are the owners of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Sports Group have Rajasthan Royals, and JSW Sports get Delhi Capitals. Chennai Super Kings Cricket owns CSK.

Cricket South Africa released a statement, “The six franchise owners for South Africa’s T20 League have been confirmed following a rigorous process over the past few months. The open bid process, managed by Deloitte Corporate Finance, attracted over 29 entities who expressed interest in owning a franchise worldwide. Over 10 venues were made available for interested bidders to own a franchise, and all 10 of them received expressions of interest.”

Reliance has bought a team based in Cape Town, Sun TV have Gqebera, and Chennai Super Kings have Johannesburg. Many people are calling the game a mini IPL due to the fact that every buyer also has their team in the Indian Premier League.
