Shimron Hetmyer from Rajasthan Royals was recently in Guyana, his home country, for the birth of his first child. Hetmyer is a left-handed batsman playing for the West Indies cricket team. He was the star player of RR before his departure to be present at the birth of his son on 8th May. Rajasthan has upped their game and is now resting in the second position on the points table. They recently defeated Lucknow Super Giants and replaced them with a third.

Shimron was bought by Rajasthan Royals at INR 8.5 crores at the auction, which happened earlier this year. He was the Under 19 Captain of the West Indies team in 2015. He got his international break in 2018 as ICC included him as one of the five break-out stars. Hetmyer has previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals before joining RR. Shimron has made 291 runs for Rajasthan, with an average of 72.75 and a Strike rate of 166.29.

Shimron Hetmyer recently replied to Rajasthan Royal’s official tweet with “Idhar hi hoon”, confirming his return to India. An IPL source recently told PTI, “ Hetmyer is back and is currently in quarantine.” With his return confirmed, Hetmyer will likely play against Chennai Super Kings before entering the playoff this Friday.
