Pat Cummins suffered from an injury and won’t be playing any further matches this season. Cummins is an Australian right-handed batsman and right-arm fast pace bowler. He is playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022. Kolkata started with a win but later were brought to their senses with back-to-back defeats. Cummins has played a total of five matches for KKR and took seven wickets for his team. Pat was bought by Knight Riders at INR 7.25 crore in the auctions for IPL 2022.
It has officially stated that Pat Cummins won’t be playing for IPL 2022 as he suffered a minor hip injury. He is heading back to Sydney to rest and prepare for the upcoming Australia’s multi-format series in July. Cricket Australia tweeted saying, “Pat Cummins is heading home early from the IPL with a minor hip injury.”
KKR will be facing SRH next, on 14th May, and will surely miss Cummin’s presence at the match. Pat scored fifty-six runs off fifteen balls in their first match against MI this year and won. It was the joint-fastest half-century in the history of the Indian Premier League. His average run rate was 10.69.
