India and Leicestershire will play a warm-up test match ahead of their test against England. India will continue their previous year’s remaining test game along with three T20I and three ODIs. Their tour was abrupt due to Covid last year, and both the countries will continue their game from 1st July onwards.

India played against the Leicestershire team on 23rd June at the Uptonsteel Cricket Ground in Leicestershire and ended the first day of the test. The Indian team chose to bat first and scored 246 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Prasidh Krishna will be playing for the opposite club against the Indian team.

Rohit Sharma scored twenty-five runs before getting dismissed. India already lost five wickets before reaching a century. Rain caused an interruption, and after a while, the game continued. Virat Kohli scored thirty-three runs with a good average performance. KS Bharat took the lead for the game completing a half-century, and is still in the game. India lost eight wickets on the first day itself.

KS Bharat stuck by the Indian side till the end after joining in the sixth position. The game came to a pause after sixty overs were complete. The bowlers, especially Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna gave the most trouble to the Indian batsman. Will Davis, and Roman Walker also caused some dismisses.
